🌿 About Kaeru Campsite
Although located near Sapporo,
Kaeru Campsite offers a peaceful setting surrounded by forests and open skies.
- Approx. 40–50 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport
- Approx. 30–40 minutes by car from Sapporo city centre
Here, you can spend your time at a leisurely pace whilst enjoying the changing seasons.
Furthermore,
- Toilets with heated bidet seats
- Clean and well-maintained communal kitchen
- Power-connected pitches
and other facilities are in place, so even first-time campers can enjoy their stay with peace of mind.
We also have a shop and rental items available, catering to those without their own equipment or those who simply wish to enjoy a casual camping experience.
It is a place where you can experience a ‘quiet way of life’ unique to Hokkaido, slightly different from typical tourist spots.

To make it easy for first-timers to choose, As well as standard overnight camping, we offer three different styles.
🚐 1: Trailer Accommodation
A style where you can stay as you are, with no need to set up a tent.
Equipped with beds and air conditioning, you can enjoy a comfortable stay.
🧳 2: Lazybones Camping (Hands-Free Plan)
A plan where all the necessary equipment is provided.
You can enjoy camping whilst minimising the hassle of preparation and tidying up.

🌿 3: Day Camp
A casual day-trip option.
You can relax in nature, even for a short time.

🕒 From New Chitose Airport
Approx. 40–50 minutes by car

🕒 From JR Shimamatsu Station
Approx. 30 minutes on foot (taxis are also available) 🚶
As the site is situated in the countryside, we recommend arriving by car.
📝 Booking Process
To make things clear for first-time visitors, here is a guide to the process from booking through to the day of your visit.
① Choose your camp type
Please select your preferred site type (trailer, lazy camping, day camping, etc.).
② Book via the booking form
Select your dates, number of people and any options, then confirm your booking.
③ Arrive at the campsite on the day
Please check the details in your booking confirmation email before arriving.
④ Check in at the ‘Oyagaeru(Parent frog)’ Management Office
Upon arrival, please give your name at reception. We will explain how to use the facilities and the rules.
⑤ Head to your pitch and enjoy your stay💤
Please relax and enjoy your time at your designated pitch.
🎟 Information
If you have received a special offer for certain events or campaigns, please present it at reception upon arrival.
We will assist you accordingly.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to arrive late at night?
We may be able to accommodate this if you contact us in advance.
Will it be too cold?
We recommend using a caravan or a pitch with electricity.
Is it okay if I don’t have any camping gear?
You can opt for ‘lazy camping’ or rental equipment.
Can I sleep in my car?
Yes, you can stay overnight in your car at the standard accommodation rate.
Please note that, in accordance with our site rules, you must switch off your engine whilst parked.
We can also provide information on the use of external power points and facilities if required, so please feel free to let us know when you make your booking.
